Walk your spooky Halloween costume down to scary town for a great cause at our annual walk-a-thon to raise funds for people with developmental disabilities, their families and support staff.  All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Choose between a one mile or a three mile walk.  The Walk-a-thon will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 between 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Oceanside Harbor Beach at the corner of North Pacific Street and South Harbor Drive.  Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. for the 3 mile walk, and 9:30 a.m. for the 1 mile walk.

Minimum donation is $25 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. There will be prizes for the best costumes and largest donations!

All proceeds go to the Angel Fund. In line with the CIS mission, the Fund supports the individuals we serve by providing small grants or loans to help participants with unmet needs (where other funding is not available or is inadequate). Examples of previous grants and loans provided include modifications to make homes more accessible, medical supplies or equipment, moving expenses/deposits, and supplies for community college classes.
