We are so pleased to announce that after four long years, our magical Angel Gala is returning and will take place on November 22, 2024. The Angel Gala is Community Interface Services’ annual holiday party for the hundreds of people with intellectual/developmental disabilities we serve, their families, and our dedicated staff members.
Sadly, during the pandemic, we were unable to hold this event in person and it was greatly missed by all. As our CIS elves started to plan this year’s gala, we also found out that the conference center where we held the gala for 12 years unfortunately was sold and is no longer an option! But as is the CIS way, we set out to find a new home for our gala and are pleased to share that the California Center for the Arts, Escondido will be hosting us this year.
It is almost impossible to put the impact of this night into words, except to say it is the CIS mission come to life with all coming together to share a meal, laugh, dance, and celebrate. The Angel Gala has always been a free event for our participants, staff, and their families, made possible through the generosity of community members. Offering this event at no cost to participants has always been a goal of ours to ensure this amazing holiday celebration is accessible to all we serve. Despite a significant increase in cost due to our change in venue, it is our intention that the gala remain free to our participants and staff.
