Angel Fund 

The Angel Fund was originally established years ago in recognition of the generous donation made by a former long-term employee of CIS. The intent of the Fund is to pay for items that are in line with the mission of the organization where other funding does not exist, is exhausted, or is impracticable or inadequate such as:

Unmet Participant Needs

From time to time, the individuals we serve run into financial hardship in pursuing their dreams and goals. In line with the CIS mission, the Fund supports the individuals we serve by providing small grants or loans to help participants with unmet needs (where other funding is not available or is inadequate). Examples of previous grants and loans provided include modifications to make homes more accessible, medical supplies or equipment, moving expenses/deposits, and supplies for community college classes.  

The Angel Gala

Another major achievement of the Angel Fund is its support of our annual Angel Gala – a spectacular holiday party for the individuals we serve, their families, and our dedicated staff members. This is a special night for everyone in the CIS family and an unforgettable experience full of heartwarming and priceless memories.
